Who are you?

Hi, I am Elizabeth Verhetsel, a service designer. In human: I help NGO’s to build services, policy and projects bottom up.

On which project are you currently working on?

We are working with the Flemish Centre of Expertise for Health Promotion. We help them develop services and policy to support organisations that work towards people growing old in good health.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

Staying, sailing, walking, eating at the coast. Wearing out my twin nephews.

Song you would like to make us discover?

Kosheen – Hide U. We use energetic music like this for cocreation workshops.

A quote, a poem, an advice, which follows you everywhere?

Festina Lente (originally Greek proverb in Latin: Hurry slowly). I tend to hurry quickly, usually leading to me tripping over myself and making stupid mistakes. So I try to hurry slowly, which I translate as: getting on with something step by step. 

My favorite bar in Amsterdam was called this and it was my screen saver for years.

How do you feel at Le Phare?

At Le Phare I get the best of both worlds: work and sea. Good coffee, good people and sloping floors. Le Phare keeps me on track in a life full of distractions.
